About

Why?

The Church is facing tremendous pressure in the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Today’s ministry needs have never been more connected or more local. Churches are now working together in a whole new way—releasing their full potential to love and serve their cities.

With the right information to lead, the right connections, and the right resources, churches can change the narrative with bold, uniquely localized ministry to reach and transform their communities.

That’s where Barna Cities comes in. Barna and Gloo are combining forces again to serve city leaders by launching Barna Cities. With the best research from Barna and tech from Gloo, the City Toolkit helps churches gain insight into the shifting culture of their city, get actionable resources from experts to improve their approach, and tools to reach more people in an increasingly digital world.

How It Began

In 2020, Barna and Gloo launched the “State of the Church” research and toolkits in an effort to equip the Church to be more informed, better connected, and fully engaged.

As a result, over 25,000 church leaders from across the country came together on one platform to benefit from State of the Church resources during the disruption caused by the global pandemic. These churches, now connected through shared, best-in-class technology, can harness their collective capacity to change lives and transform their cities.
